What is this?
We wrote some of what this is on the about us page in a convenient FAQ. But, there’s of course more to the story.
This is about film making: the frame. And about the pains of getting started in the industry: the wild. What if we could come together and help each other get over that first barrier – the first film, the first reel, the first resume, the first feedback, etc. – and be ready to launch out in the wild wilderness of this industry?
What if everyone was able to level-up just a little bit, get to level 2 from level 1 or level 5 from level 4 – then all of us would be so much better off. I love this quote:
A rising tide lifts all boats
Well, that would be pretty cool.
Why should you care?
Maybe that is the more important question.
This is hard. This – this blog post, this website, the social, the industry, cameras, editing, filmmaking, networking, holding people accountable to keep things moving, etc. – is hard. But, with the support of many people, it can be easy. And that’s where you come in.
I don’t know what that means right now, but I will know what that means in the future.
